Description

Located in the Edmonds district of Burnaby, 7855 Kingsway is a 6,224 square foot retail strip centre designed to serve the growing and underserved community.

Triumph acquired the former gas station site in 2019 as vacant, remediated land, with a vision to transform it into a community-oriented retail plaza. Over the next two years, Triumph worked closely with the City of Burnaby to obtain both development and building permits, while successfully pre-leasing three of the four CRUs to national tenants.

Construction began in 2020, led by Seko Construction as the GC, and was completed in Spring 2021 after a 16-month buildout. Shortly thereafter, Popeyes, A&W, Pizza Pizza and Vega Dental opened their doors to the public.

Triumph closed out the project in 2022 with the sale of the completed development. This project represents a successful execution of Triumph’s strategy to unlock value through the development of underutilized land and securing long-term leases with high-quality, nationally recognized retail tenants.
